Are you sure the 2nd chance offer came from EBay? That seems to far below the Buy it now. He dropped the buy it now a grand during the auction. If he has all the service records and the head is good, I think it is a decent price. If I were buying it, I would want to check the hose first thing in the morning when the engine is cold. Also make sure the A/C works, the SLS and about 2 dozen other things.
Looks like you are too far away to check it yourself. You need to find someone to do a PPI for you.
