Even If you have it towed to the dealership and pay them $3K to get it fixed, it's well worth it. I'd get the car ASAP before the deal slips through the cracks, or you get into a fight with your girlfriend.
If you "Must" fix it there I'd start by checking for codes. With only 25K I'd suspect some kind of bad connection due to sitting, the wiring harness should be mint.
