Timing chain broke at 65mph, then towed it home 500 miles. pulled the valve cover and the first cam tower was broke off at the bottom, and the second one was broke off just under the cam shaft. the rear most rocker was twisted around towards the rear.
pulled the head and #1 and #5 piston took a really hard whack by the valves, the others hit some also.
with the milage I decided metric motors was the way to go.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
