Had the same surgery three years ago, and my only regret is that I waited so long to get it done.

I tore my meniscus three times before I had the surgery. I was up without crutches the next day, washed my car on day two, and was generally feeling 100% within a month.

I now run marathons with absolutely no discomfort in my knee, and that's after they took 30% of my meniscus out.

Get it done, its not a big deal.
