Bil, Phil Here, In Painting your Console, I strongly recommend SEM Color Coat for Plastic. It bites into the Plastic and will not scratch off. The Paint goes on evenly with a few light coats. You can top-coat with a clear Matt finish if you prefer a slight gloss. I will tell you that prep work is the whole job, Clean the Console with Denatured Alcohol or Lacquer Thinner, Clean it right down to the Black Plastic that's underneath the old finish. Your Console will turn out better than new. Good Luck
