Asking those types of questions...including what does the odometer show gets people into all sorts of trouble... the answers can not be trusted to make any difference in the condition of the vehicle...
Best to cover the odometer, and take the car to an independent agency like LemonBusters .... too many times cosmetics covers up mechanical abuse...
Asking and believing the answers to most of those questions is how con artists take people.

So what if the person owned the car for 15 years... for example... but let their sister borrow it and she ran it on the Houston Freeway without water in the radiator ? Someone on this forum did just that... but when they are still able to drive it... and you know they have owned it for that long... it just gives rise to way too many wrong assumptions..
