We're thinking of replacing the 97 'burb 6.5 with an Excursion for the interior space benefit. No plans to tow. We had a full size van but SUVs are easier to park and oddly feel less like trucks on the road.

So why not get the gas version? You will pay a premium for diesel and if you are not towing, what is the point?
