1979 W116 300sd motor+transmission
I just pulled the motor from a W116 300sd. The motor has 129,000 miles on it.
The car was hit in the rear, and hasn't been registered since 2001, so we bypassed the fuel tank, drained the filter and fed it fuel from a fresh gas can. Much to our surprise, it started on the first turn of the key and ran well. At which point, we shut her down and pulled it from the car.
The motor is sitting in my garage in Reading, PA. I am looking for 800$ for the complete setup, ready to drop into a car. I can deliver it to anyplace between Reading, Phily and NYC if you have a hoist to get it out of my suburban once I get there. I am willing to go as far as DC or into CT if you're paying for the gas and tolls.
If you want it crated and shipped, I can do that too. I can put it on a pallet for you and drop it a shipping company like Forward air. If you want to go that route, get a shipping estimate for 800 pounds. That's probably close, but far from exact.
