support the car on stands, raise the T arm slightly w/ a floor jack, unhook shock @ top, slowly release the jack.

if you have SLS, dont forget to unhook the lines to the struts.

I'd do both sides, and all the rubber bushings while your at it. I did everything- brakes(Park and service) brake lines, sway links, body mounts, T arm bushings, Diff mount, wheel bearings,etc... oh- and 2 new tires cause I had ruined the ones running the bent T arm so long(I had welded up a patch) all in all, about $950. and 3 days. this was in my MBZ newbie days, now I could almost do it all in a day.
