Hate to suggest it, but when my engine started ticking in that area, It was the start of losing the cam lobe.

Look for unusual wear on the lobe and especially the arm associated with it.

You can use a long screwdriver to pinpoint the noise until you pull the cover.

Might be nothing, hopefully.

The Engine is known for cam wear. Usually a blockage in the oil tube hole in the associated area. Lost one side first, replaced cam, and cleaned tubes on both sides. Replaced other side 3 months later.

Traded car to Used dealer right after that.
