I am very sorry to hear what happened to your car. This is just another reenforcement of what many of us are saying on this forum. MBNA (MBUSA) just does not care about its customers. They just care about the $ in your pocket. When there is a problem with a car, they will do one of the following:
1. They pretend they knew nothing about the problem even though there are service bulletins and frequent occurances on the same model cars of other owners. Their favorite excuse is "All cars do that". There was a story about an owner of a SLK230. He parked his car on an incline and it leaked ATF fluid. He took it to the dealer and the dealer tod him "all cars do that". LOL. The owner was a knowledge enough to convince them that not all cars do that.
2. They will blame tires, oils, drivers, or whatever they can grab.
3. They will drag this problem as long as they can to go beyond the warranty period. Once that happens, it is you, the customer's responsibility.
I seriously recommend you talk to the MBNA (MBUSA) folks but good luck.
