kind of off topic....

...but did you get a new lower front bumper/grill or modify the one that was from the factory- it originally had foglights, right? (I have a 00 beetle that we're working on right now and I want to ditch the #@$% foglights because they always get water and salt in them and go out, then are a PITA to replace...) We got the grill w/o the foglight holes, but I couldn't find the front lower bumper part online-just the whole front bumper.. did you cut out the old foglight holes and put something else in there or find the part somewhere?

also- back on the topic of this thread... my family has always had good luck with online car stuff- my dad "accidentally" bought a 77 VW camper in Oregon a few years ago on ebay and a 73 MGBGT a while back, and both were great finds. My fiance bought a 79 Rabbit diesel via a private sale on vwvortex and had it shipped from CA. it's an awesome car... maybe we've just been lucky....
