I replaced the evaporator in our 95 E320 wagon last year.

Ran around $700 for the parts including replacing all the vacuum elements.

Took a couple of weekends to complete.

Can't remember how much alcohol.....

Given the amount of work, I didn't skimp on the quality of the parts.
