Just to give you an idea, I bought my 16v 2 years ago with 51,000 miles on the clock for CDN$17,000. call it about USD$12,000.
a well taken care of 16V should run you no more than about USD$10K these days.
I wouldn't worry too much about the mileage if it can be proven that the car has been well taken care off and has seen regular maintenance.
the only major areas of interest would be the timing chain and tensioner, suspension bushings, SLS, and tranny. specifically 2nd & 3rd gear synchros.
