The hospice folks said that in her case Medicare would pay for her hospice care 100%. It still allows her to live at home and as much freedom to do things as she is able to exercise. I couldn't see any downside to it after talking to them.

In WI, they only have to be there a certain number of times. OTOH, they sell it as them being there 24X7. This is the 2nd time in the last 2 weeks that my wife has had to threaten them that if they don't show up, she will never recommend them again. Because of their lack of presence, the wife had to spend all day with the family and was unable to do her own work.
