I'm saving for the sake of saving. For a while I was saving for a diesel G-Wagen. Then I was saving for a house. I have enough for either, but now I just want to keep saving. It's like a sport. I like the idea of having enough saved to play around in the stock market a little bit, because now I just keep it all in almost-no-risk T-bills. Whenever I settle down to the point where I feel comfortable buying a house, I'll do that. I'd actually save money doing that as opposed to paying rent, considering I'd build equity and get the tax benefit of mortgage payments, whereas rent goes to nowhere.

I do have a few smaller items I'd like to spend some money on. I have enough, but still have to talk myself into picking into my savings. Definitely looking to buy a new head unit for the MB, and would also really like to throw in a sub and amp because the bass leaves a lot to be desired (and I love bass). Also may decide to have my rocker panels replaced by a reputable body shop, even though that will be hellaciously expensive.

Mostly I just enjoy being a miser ...
