The early W123 have a different throttle linkage setup than the later ones.

sksmith- From my memory: your "gas" pedal is attached to a bar linkage that runs along the firewall from the driver's to passenger's side. from there, there is an arm that extends down, a ball linkage should connect from this arm to a bell crank on the passenger side of the block. Another linkage runs from the bell crank up the side of the block to another bell crank on the valve cover. From this bell crank a linkage extends to the injection pump.
