I'd also have to agree that a decent running 240D auto isn't bad at all for a local and around town cruiser. They kind of get a undeserved rep. My wife drives hers as her regular commuter. She doesn't have to do the quick on ramp thing, and overall it's quite acceptable and a fun ride. I will admit that on a long trip I'd probably get a little tired of hearing that engine screamin', but thats what the 300 is for
