I finally put a set of Bosch fast glows in my 240D. I just got the glows only...no relay. I got it restarted and noticed that my idle was now fast, about 1,000-1,200rpm. I checked all the linkages and nothing out of wack. I then looked and the pump arm WAS resting against the idle stop. I ended up re-setting the idle screw down a few turns.
Anyone had this happen to them??? Car seems to run better. I did NOTHING else to the engine but put the new glow plugs in. SURE STARTS BETTER NOW!
