Hi, my dad and I just joined Mercedes Shop. I am helping him find an engine for our ’83 240D. His current working budget is $500 for a usable engine. The 240D has a solid body and the engine has lots of blowby. He knows it needs a rebuild. Does anyone know where a usable engine can be found? We are in the Chicago, IL area.
