We used to let our dogs swim in our pool two years ago untill our vet said that he wouldn't recommend it. He said dogs get water related ear infections real easy. Ours would get awful yeast infections in their ear canals that would require epi-optic cleaning and being treated with prescription med drops in their ears. Expensive for us and painful for them! We DON'T let them swim anymore! Not worth it for anyone.

We tried over-the-counter yeast infection medication (yes, for vaginal use) and it seemed to work, but you have to clean the ears first with epi-optic with a Q-tip, and then apply the paste deep inside the L-shaped canal with a Q-tip also everyday. Good Luck!
