Waaaaay too little information to go on to pass judgment at this point--at least if you've been involved in many of these scenarios. When a police officer is handed someone else's id, especially during a domestic disturbance call, that implicates a very serious charge. The time to explain the circumstances of mistake is after you quietly cooperate with the officer so presented. If you 'can't believe this is happening to you' and kick and scream accordingly, what are the cops to do? Turn you loose in a jail full of drunks, holding a derringer between your legs?

Not condoning what happened here, but not passing judgment yet, either.
