Om617.952 after valve adjustment.

I was just wondering what its supposed to sound like after the adjustment. When I went to tighten the valves I checked the clearance to start off and I could barely slip the .05 mm guage bewteen the CAM LOBE and LIFTER with the Lobe's pointy end 12oclock from the lifter. (or are you supposed to measure it with the pointy end down?) It looked like pointy end was up in the manual photograph so a picture is worth a thousand words right? Anyways. Got done with it all exhaust valves at .35 and intake at .1 mm (Thats what the manual said.) It ran good its just the valve noise is more prevalent than before. (I'm not sure if thats the right word. Its been getting fine mileage, little; if any; oil consumption, fine acceleration (even better with the ac turned off and the alternator belt breaks). I've only run it 20 or so miles after the adjustment with an average speed of 45-50.

The questions are:
1. What is the engine supposed to sound like after a valve adjustment
2.What is "coking of injectors" and how do you prevent this?
3.When running WVO and after a valve adjustment what should the timing be set at/to?
