THanks! I've taken the car to the local Benz dealership and complained about the herd downshifting - they won't touch it. Well, they say there's nothing wrong with it. I had an independent change the tranny fluid for my though. Everyone has helped me out telling me what to look for and ask the dealership what to do, but I keep getting stonewalled. I've got a great aftermarket extended warranty that the dealerships LOVE around here. They've sucked 4K out of it so far, but still won't get near the transmission. Donno what to do now. I'm trying to get an actual diagnosis from an independent shop that's sophisticated enough to work on the tranny, but none so far. Thanks for all your suggestions - I do appreciate them!
