I must have missed what happened to the W126. What happened?

If it is gone, Los Angeles is likely the easiest place to get another one that is nice. With luck a nice one could show on ebay or Craigslist

You might even find a real nice one for $3000- $4000 if you get lucky. Sometimes even a Mercedes shop like MR MB might even know a nice one the owner wants to go, that was taken care of by him.

You might consider a nice W124 300E or a W123 Diesel, they are great cars too lots of modern features but strong and sturdy, easy to repair yet built to the highest old world German standard.

Check around in the cars for sale on this forum for a shot at some of the best kept examples of well cared for cars
