I just looked at the pictures and it looks like it just clips/pops into the hole, but it has a seal......we forgot to disconnect the cable from the motor when we separated them and yanked on it briefly....but it still works but started leaking from it. I bet we messed up the seal or (hopefully not) damaged the base of the cable....I guess we'll find out. The shop that replaced all the seals should have put a new one on it.....I guess we'll know if it drools fluid from the cable connection....
