The Cummins is hands down the best on the market. But I could be talked into a Chevy 2500, and I will look at them. If I get a truck it will just be for work, so I don't really want or care about leather, quad cab etc. AC is nice, and I really would like 4wd, thats nice sometimes, but other than that I want an 8ft bed. I'm going to stick "Southern New England Land Company" on the side and get my moneys worth out of it.
My friend has a 1999 Dodge 1500, forget the engine but its the big V8. Has 95k miles on it, engine replaced at 60k, trans done last year. Trucks a POS. Its a quad cab with tons of options, gets 10.5-11mpg.
I drove a $50k Dodge 2500 last year loaded with the Cummins. Had a freaken plastic action man interior!

I think its a 2004, although I am not sure.
Chevys are crap, they die.... ALOT. They die so frequently, there is one sitting broken down on the street in front of my office....
I think I am going to stick with a Dodge. I am thinking an 03 with the Hemi would be a sweet truck.
