My lockset broke around Christmas, 2006, so the details are a little fuzzy.
I couldn't turn the key. The tumblers seemed to be hardened, couldn't drill it. It was a royal PITA to install the steering lock assembly. I got mine from ******** AZ. Had to get in and grind the top of a pin off so the unit would come out. It was hard to drop the column, kept getting hung up on dash. Eventually I got it installed and it works well. Only problem is I think I cracked one of the dozens of wires under there. Now the fuel gauge reads full, temp reads hot, no glow plug light, and other things.
