Improvised Spline spanner

If you have a disused pump--or a friendly diesel shop near, get three or four retainers from the top of Inj.Pump and weld them together, on top of each other, Place them on a splined shaft or delivery valve holder, while you weld them up--alternatively, you could drill and screw them together. Place a short piece of steel tube over free end, and weld into place--One new tool to clutter up the workshop!
