driving on a flat tire
I must have ran over a nail yesterday because after work I noticed my front passenger-side tire was about 45 - 50% flat. Good thing I had to stop for gas or else I would have driven home like that. Here is what concerns me. I think I must have driven my car (90 190E) for at least 30 - 40 miles with my front tire flat (not completely flat though). The interesting thing was that I did not feel anything unusual on the freeway. Now, will driving with one front flat do any mechanical damage (e.g., brakes, axle, other moving parts associated with the wheel)? There was no rim damage as the tire was not completelt flat, and I didn't see any tire damage, either. What ticks me off a litttle is that this tire and the other three are fairly new, arghhhh!
