I need a decent car(Mercedes of course) with good mpg. Neither one of my cars does better than 15mpg local driving. Anyone know what the real world mileage on this car would be? Light footed, good tuned condition, mostly local suburban driving under 50 mph.

I've read they are pretty nice to drive. Anything to look out for in particular model? The one I'm looking at has 154,000 mi, no rust, working air, good paint and body. What's a fair price to pay?
I got 26+ on the highway with mine though mine was a 5 speed stick. Needed to add about 200 lbs in the trunk to be able to go anywhere in the snow. Stopped good though.

See what you can find out about the oil consumption. May need valve seals or guides by this point in time. I really liked that car and was sad to see it go.
