Now I've done it. Reattaching the speedo cable after an odometer repair I seem to have broken the cable clamping portion of the rear of the transmision case. It appears I need to repalce the rear of th eransmission case to get back a working speedometer and odometer.

Any thoughts on what's involved in this job? Also, my car is an 1987 190 turbo diesel, would I be able to use other w201 or similar age car's transmission for this part?
