compression test results

I finally got around to changing out the glowplugs in the wagon. I've been rolling w/ 4 plugs for a couple weeks. I also reamed out the holes, using a tool made by a fellow forum member.(Thanks for the expedited service, Diesel911)

I reamed and check compression numbers, put in 5 new duraterm's from NAPA. I hope the w/ clean holes they will last longer than the last set I put in(4/5 did not last a year)

anyhow- heres the numbers
312,xxx miles
1-420 psi
2-425 psi
3-405 psi
4-420 psi
5-395 psi

I am pretty happy, seems to be good numbers. this was taken on a warm engine- I idled it for about 10 minutes in the driveway. and using the HF tester.

mostly I want to post this up so I can refer back when I need to change out the GP's again.

And using the reamer was a treat. after running that thru, I was able to thread the GP's in all the way by hand, then tighten the last 1/2 turn w/ a wrench. for simplicity, I removed the injection lines, all 5 GP's and ran the ream,er all the way around. then cranked it over a few times to dislodge any loose carbon, and ran the test.

and the new el cheepo 12mm ratchet wrench I got from HF worked well, to. made it way easy to do.
