I find rear dry shock conversion quite enjoyable; car had been given a lowered suspension at some time and although hydra rear was soft it felt disconnected from the front Bilstein suspension; now car corners like on rails and it sits even nicely. So I don't miss it.
I had a 6.9 with full hydra suspension and it rode very smooth; however leaks, valve failures got too expensive.
