I did this on my 85 300SD a couple of years back after switching to the halogen bulb style beam that fits in your regular socket. I went to the local Les Schwab at dusk and with masking tape put the centerline of the car and the center of each headlight location marked with masking tape on the wall. I backed up around 50 ft and set the headlights to hit the center of each mark and then 2" below the individual headlight locations. I found this on a web site someplace but now can't find it. I even moved the fog lights to align properly. All works fine and my new sealed beams now act like my new Honda. Very good light and without the "new Euro" appearance.
