Hi,

To further investigate the loss of power problem in my 88 300E W124, I have decided the check the vacuum lines in the engine compartment. I've already checked the fuel system, throttle linkage etc...every thing seems to be fine.

My question is: Since there are so many vacuum lines in the engine compartment, does any one know which vacuum line(s) is most susceptible to leaking? This will greatly reduce my time to isolate the leaking vacuum line (if any). One more thing: is the black rubber connectors prone to cracking/leaking? I've purchased a 5 meter long vacuum line from the dealer already. I'm ready to replace any vacuum line.

Let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
