I agree with the guy who's wife is a hunter. Having and knowing how to use a personal sidearm is most definitely a life-saving skill, and it works when you are walking alone away from your car. You can get a good small semi-auto from a reputable gun store for $250. Lessons are available at most shooting ranges for maybe $50 from a trained NRA instructor. You'll never have to worry about your daughter's security again.
