I think a reman unit would be the best bet as well. There is a pressure modulation valve that can be adjusted on the tranny, but that generally is for setting gearchanges. For example, it can be set so that the tires will "bark" at each shift, or it can be set for smoother transition, but that generally leads to slipping between gears. Might as well give it a try. Couldn't hurt.
