What did you use to turn off the Pre-chamber retaining ring?
It could be that the Bicycle Hub Tool/Slide Hammer setup needs a very heavy slide hammer. I have seen some pics on Ebay of the complete set and the origional slide hammer is pretty big looks like the hammer part is at least 4 pounds.
