Don't forget about the third "weak Link" on these 124s- the dreaded evaporator leak. That repair requires pulling the dash and heater box to replace = major bucks.

I'm replacing the evap in my father's 95 E300 right now. Good threads on this site to follow, but it is very labor intensive.
