S320 oil pressure takes a long timeto come up!

All, I need a bit of advice. I'm currently in Orlando, FL on vacation with the family. We drove from Richmond, VA at about 80mph most of the way, and the car ran great. Now that we are here I have begun to notice that on startup, it takes 2-3 seconds for the oil pressure to come up to normal. During that time, I hear a rattling noise that I can only assume is the timing chain or lifters. Once pressure comes up everything quiets down and the engine runs great. My initial guess is that the anti-drainback check valve has stopped doing it's job.
We're due to leave for home today and we're taking the Amtrak Auto-Train back so I'm only looking at a 1 hour drive at each end of the train trip instead of 12+ hours on the interstate. Is this something I can live with until I get back home or do I need to get it looked at immediately? BTW the engine's filled with Mobil-1 0W-40, oil level is at "max".
