Looks like a steering gear bearing....


Weird.



Only thing I can think of is that it entered through the spark plug hole. I don't see the intake valve opening far enough to sneak that bearing by.


So..... Major tune up in progress, all spark plugs removed. Somebody pulls out some other part like the water pump or or some pulley, and it spills its bearings. One of them just happens to fall down a spark plug well in ends up in the cylinder.

The only other thing I can think of is somebody put it in there to sabotage a fellow employee at a shop, or it was was done to kill the motor while it was still under warranty.....
