Cylindrical with connections in each end.

Just put a wire in each end and "crimp" them with a pair of standard pliers. No need to buy specific electrical tools.

Worked great when replacing my aftermarket cassette with another aftermarket/different brand single CD player.

Being as anal about things as I am, I still wrapped the connectors with electrical tape.
That's what's on there now, so I think I will go that route, I can pick these up somewhere like Walmart and just use pliers? That sounds good. Can someone please answer my last question about where to cut the wires? I'll probably first need to strip about have inch of both wires and then twist and then put the connector on and crimp? Sorry about asking so many questions but, when it gets here today, I want to go right into it and install it.
