I own a 72 280 SE 4.5 that runs very well, however the transmission seems to be slipping a bit when shifting from second to third. I have very little cash and am trying to learn as much as possible about my car so that I can do most of the work needed. Any suggestions on what to check out before making the assumption that I need a rebuild?
