In the MB 124 CD, the M103 engine section has an illustration of the timing gear and chain setup. It shows how to change the basic timing by -3 degrees, 0 degrees or +3 degrees by changing the bolt on position of the cam gear. Question is, why and when would you install in any position other than 0 degrees?
