The proper viscosity to use depends on the ambient temps prevailing in your area at the time of the change, taking into account what the temps are likely to range during the life of the fill. There is a recommended lubricants chart that would have been in the owners packet when the car was new, this has a oil viscosity chart on it, consult this sheet.
