He said the engine was rebuilt 2 months ago and the engine has finished it's break-in period (over a thousand kilometers), he is not a gearhead unlike all of us here in this forum, he didn't ask his mechanic on what he has done to his engine,e.g. re-torqued, adjust valves,etc... all he wants was getting it fixed and driving it.

I told him that owning an old mercedes needs more attention, keeping an eye on everything when driving,(noises,drivability,etc...), and I told him to start learning how to use wrenches, buying some basic tools, research about his car and it's functions, by joining this forum since he knows how to use internet. I f he can't help himself, he's wasting his money on his car.
