Good tech in Brooklyn

End of last summer, my a/c was dribbling warm air. I took it to a local, supposedly reputable mechanic who said he had a new infrared detector that found the system needed all new plumbing and a full charge. He also recommended staying with r-12 even though it was $200 to recharge the system and $300 to fix the "leak". I passed on that one. I took it to another mechanic that I've grown to trust and he said not only does it not leak, it only needed half the charge. He charged me $100 to evacuate the system and fill it with r-12. Now you can hang meat in the car. If you live in Brooklyn, NY gives Universal Diagnostic your business. You won't be sorry.
