Rebuilding Junkyard 240D 83(Oil Pump Shaft/Timing Fear area on 616.912)I can't get the Thrust Piece (124) out, even though I removed retaining bolt (123). Its in very tight. I know you are supposed to screw the M26 plug in and use that as leverage, but that doesnt work. As a result I can't remove the Helical Gear Shaft or the Intermediate Gear Shaft. a. Does it have to come out?
b. Does it being "frozen" indicate a problem with engine (dont think so) c. If I have to take it out, how can i do it without damaging this highly machined area.
