I don't think it was "certified" properly. To get to that level of wear means the previous owner rode the brakes and that the dealer didn't change the rotors.
Take it back and have them also check the calipers if they are not sticking.

It's expected that the front wear out faster than the rear on a S class but what you're describing is borderline neglect.
